Controversy Raises As Bitpay Rejects $100,000 For Amazon Rainforest

Bitpay donated $100,000 to the Amazon rainforest charity but it got rejected as it didn’t pass BitPay’s internal checks. Amazon Watch, an organization supporting the Amazon rainforest’s ecology and indigenous peoples, had tweeted regarding this in an attempt to reach out to this person and resolve this issue.

Investigating this rejection, it was noticed that Amazon Watch’s maximum payment limit was set at below $100,000. Bitpay asked the staff to increase the limit but it was not possible on an immediate basis. Some tweet replies advise Amazon Watch to search for an Open source alternative instead.
